ONE MAN WENT TO MOW
When Les Green was employed at Britannia Barracks he was tasked with cutting the grass. Rather than get out the mower he ran a bass broom over it.
Viewing it from an upper window, Lt Col Alex Turnbull complimented Les: 'Very good!'

OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE
‘They just get crossed off!’ was the lament from Gordon Reynolds. Too often, inadequate information concerning the passing of old comrades is received. Sometimes this results in the wrong chap being declared posted to the Upper Parade Ground and he doesn’t get his B&C. When he calls RHQ to enquire he’s told: ‘You are supposed to be dead!’
Sorry Gordon!

Editorial Rule
To qualify for inclusion in the B&C there is only one rule - something described must have been said to have happened.

However, the rules of good taste, respect and confidentiality are always applied.
