THE SIEGE OF KUT 1915-1916 from B&C No 87 Dec 96
Harold C Huggins of White Rock, BC, Canada, V4B 2H7 wrote: "This 82 year old last surviving member of a Norfolk family of 13 would like to know what life was like for the last days of his brother William Percy Huggins of 2 Norfolk, during and following the siege of Kut 1915-1916. He never wrote after embarking for Mesopotamia. William was reported dead as a POW in a Turkish hospital. Though I have read official documents and campaign reports I have never seen any personal anecdotal letters relating to Kut. Surely there is an abundance of letters in the hands of the families of those who served in the campaign before and after the Kut debacle? Those kind enough to reply will be reimbursed for any expenses they incur."
